Oil paintings that capture the sophisticated moments

Looking For Shells
€800.00

oil on canvas

Water is a central theme in my work. With this piece, , I wanted to capture the radiance of the sea and the way sunlight shimmers across the water, creating those subtle, mesmerising shapes and colours that stay with you long after summer has passed. These colours are so unique and radiant that they are hard to capture, which is exactly what drew me to try.

It's a nod to warm summer days by the coast with family, when there was nothing to worry about except what shell or fish you might find. A small celebration of that quiet joy of discovery, and memories that linger like sunlight on water.

An Ode to Female Friendship

This painting is an ode to the beauty of female friendship and to the worlds we create within one another. In the painting, the two women lean towards one another in a quiet meadow, their closeness expressed through their bodies rather than words. The meadow is a world of their own where nothing else is required of them. Their intimacy is not dramatic, it just exists in the simple comfort of being together.

Our closest friendships shape us in ways that are difficult to measure. Through shared experiences, conversations, laughter, vulnerability, and growing alongside one another, our friends become part of who we are. In many ways, we are an amalgamation of the people we love most. Each friendship opens a new world within us, one that may not have existed before that person entered our lives.

My female friendships have always been a soft place to land. My friends are brilliant, wise, funny, kind, and strong, and it continually amazes me that these women are my team in life. We buy each other flowers, little trinkets, and desserts simply because we thought of one another. We celebrate each other, carry each other through difficult moments, and make ordinary moments feel special.

Friendship is not a pale imitation of sexual romance. It is a romance unto itself. Female friendships can be marked by the same gestures of devotion, tenderness, and intimacy found in romantic relationships, yet they are their own kind of love story. It is a love that is endlessly kind, forgiving, and continuous in its courtship, a love built not on possession, but on choosing one another, again and again.

The painting celebrates that feeling: the extraordinary comfort of being known, understood, accepted, and loved by another woman. It is about the friendships that become lifelines, the women who help us become ourselves, and the quiet, immeasurable ways in which loving one another can transform our lives.

Sunset Solitude
€500.00

Hand-painted oil painting on canvas
20 Ă— 40 cm (7.9 Ă— 15.7 in)

This painting is inspired by long walks along the beach when the sun has already begun to set and the day is slowly giving way to evening. There is something special about being on the beach at this time of day, the ocean breeze becoming cooler, the taste of salt lingering in the air, and the soft evening light stretching across the water. The painting is ultimately about the quietness of those moments. The gentle movement of the waves, the fading light, and the feeling of having nowhere to be.
